Mimaki’s UV inkjet print portfolio set to unlock superior business and manufacturing benefits at InPrint 2018

– Mimaki to showcase market’s first metallic ink capability for digitally printed direct-to-object production

– Demonstrations of 360o high quality, high speed printing on cylindrical objects such as glass bottles/jars

Mimaki will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of UV LED inkjet printers at InPrint 2018 (Milan, Italy – 20 – 22 November 2018, stand #410). The company will demonstrate how print service providers (PSPs) and industrial manufacturers of promotional and consumer products can use Mimaki’s high quality print technology, offering market leading productivity and versatility, to support increased revenues and drive new application possibilities.

Encapsulated in Mimaki’s ‘Join the Experience’ show theme, visitors from inhouse manufacturing departments and PSPs will get a close look at product samples from the high performance Mimaki UJF Series of direct-to-object UV LED printers. In addition to seeing technology demonstrations of its new metallic ink capability, Mimaki visitors will also hear how Mimaki-powered on-demand direct-to-object printing has enabled customers to target and version products – resulting in increased consumer engagement, production efficiencies and sales, as well as a reduction in production waste.

Driving these customer benefits, visitors to the Mimaki stand will see live demonstrations of the state-of-the-art Mimaki UJF-3042MkII direct-to-shape A3 printer supporting substrates up to 153mm thick. Mimaki will also show the optional 360o cylindrical bottle printing unit for this product, designed to print onto a range of bottles and jars. This capability expands inhouse manufacturing capabilities and provides new business opportunities for PSPs.

Visitors will also see the larger A2 format Mimaki UJF-6042MkII direct-to-object LED UV printer, as well as the UJF-7151plus flatbed direct-to-object solution for printing onto thick substrates at high speed. Ideal for a wide range of promotional products including mugs and pens, Mimaki will use the UJF-7151plus to provide a technical demonstration of its new silver metallic ink – shown for the first time in Germany.

Mimaki will also feature 3D models from its 3DUJ-553, the world’s first full-colour UV-curable inkjet 3D printer offering over 10 million colours. The Mimaki UCJV300 series of integrated ‘print and cut’ roll-to-roll UV LED inkjet solutions will also be on show, supporting applications including high quality POP/POS, outdoor signage, flags and banners, as well as labels and wallpaper.

“We’re excited to attend InPrint 2018,” comments Ronald van den Broek, General Sales Manager, EMEA, Mimaki. “We will use the show platform to demonstrate how users of our technology can further innovate and add customer value, while reducing costs and increasing profits. As the first print manufacturer to release a metallic ink for industrial flatbed digital printing, we’re also keen to meet with visitors to demonstrate how they can better match brand colours, while dramatically reducing production time and increasing their product design capabilities. It should be a good show.”
