Prizes, free exhibit pass and car wrap expertise highlight Mimaki presence at first annual event
Amsterdam, March 10, 2014
Mimaki today announced that it will be exhibiting at CarSignPro scheduled for March 26th and 27th in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Billed as the event for car wrapping, sign-makers and window-tinters in the Benelux, it is a great venue for attendees n the printing and auto industries to discover new trends and stay informed of the latest developments in the industry.
“There is growing demand for car wraps, signs and window tinting across Europe,” said Mike Horsten, Marketing Manager for Mimaki Europe. “We are excited to be showing the latest Mimaki technology for producing these creative decorative and branding pieces for vehicles of all types. We also wanted to inject some fun and excitement into our presence at the event and will be holding a competition where attendees will be able to peel off a pre-cut vinyl sheet at our stand, and the fastest to finish will win an iPad Mini.”
Clean Cut Action
The Mimaki competition is designed to show off the capabilities of Mimaki’s best-in-class CG-60SRIII roll-fed cutter. It features a cutting pressure of 500g for clean cuts on a wider range of materials as well as continuous crop mark detection for precise stickers and seals. This affordably priced but technologically advanced cutter offers an extremely high return on investment.
Vibrant Wraps and Signs
Mimaki will also be printing wraps and signs at the show with its JV400 family of products, including:
- The JV400-SUV prints in four colors (CMYK) at speeds of up to 18 square meters per hour. This truly unique printer combines the flexibility of solvent with the durability of UV-cured inks using innovative Mimaki inks developed specifically for this printer. In the printing process, the solvent component is absorbed by the ink-receiving layer of the media and the pigment is settled into the media. Printed ink is then cured with a UV process, resulting in a smooth, glossy appearance, which simulates coating, yet maintains the bright colors expected of a solvent printer. UV curing also results in strong resistance to scratching and weather. Prints exit the printer completely dry, ready for immediate post-processing.
- JV400-LX. These latex ink printers can print on a wide variety of substrates including uncoated paper using an environmentally friendly aqueous ink whose outdoor durability is equivalent to solvent ink. This includes CMYK, orange, green and white inks for a wider color gamut and the ability to produce stunning pieces on transparent or dark substrates. LX101 latex ink achieves vivid, high quality images due to its glossiness and the high density of the black ink.

“We are looking forward to participating in this unique event and being part of its inaugural edition,” Horsten added. “Mimaki has invested heavily in solutions for this market that we believe attendees will find attractive as they consider entering into or expanding their presence in the car wrap, sign and window tinting business. We are also pleased to be able to educate members of the automotive industry about the possibilities that digital printing brings to their businesses, for them and for their customers.”
