• The Japanese printing specialist adds Mimaki’s UJV300DTF-75 UV-DTF printer to its production line, opening up new merchandise opportunities across both business and consumer markets.
• A natural, glare-free and durable finish is driving new enquiries beyond stickers, from tool identification to hospital signage.
f.delight, founded in 2018 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, has built its business on inkjet printing for indoor applications, including menu signage for major restaurant chains, interior graphics for offices and residential spaces, and window decorations. With a wide range of printing methods and media at its disposal, the company has steadily grown its customer base from listed companies to individual consumers, driven by a focus on solving customer challenges rather than simply printing to instruction.
As menu signage needs to be updated frequently, f.delight supplied easy-to-apply media so that restaurant staff can install it themselves, helping each location cut costs. It’s this kind of problem-solving that has earned the company strong trust with its clients and is now shaping the next stage of its growth, as f.delight expands its merchandise offering into both B2B and B2C channels with UV-DTF printing.
Achieving a flawless finish
f.delight already runs two Mimaki UV printers, the UCJV300-160 and UCJV330-160, as its main production machines, prized for their vivid full colour expression and high colour reproducibility. Looking to expand its product offering further, the company invested in Mimaki’s UJV300DTF-75 UV-DTF printer in October 2025.
Conventional stickers and decals often have noticeable margins and glare, making it hard to achieve a finish that blends naturally with the object it’s applied to. By transferring only the ink and adhesive layer, the UJV300DTF-75 delivers a result that looks as though it has been printed directly onto the item itself, a difference that has already generated new enquiries for applications well beyond stickers, including tools, guidance signs, household items, and other branded applications.
“When I first saw the output samples, I immediately felt that UV-DTF technology was exciting because it enables applications that conventional stickers cannot achieve,” comments Akiko Fushiki, Representative Director at f.delight. “Designs can even be applied to cups and bottles and withstand repeated washing – something conventional stickers cannot offer.”
New applications spanning B2B and B2C markets
Under the product name “TranSticker” – a coined term combining “transfer” and “sticker” – the system had already begun delivering results in the B2B market within just three months of installation, with a growing number of enquiries. Beyond sticker and merchandising applications, f.delight has also identified uses in areas entirely outside that space.
“When we go to job sites, we bring many tools with us, but many of them are a similar shape, making it easy to accidentally pick up someone else’s tool,” explains Eijiro Fushiki, Senior Managing Director at f.delight. “I think many people in our industry have experienced this at least once. I thought UV-DTF could be useful in situations like this as well.”
Building on this demand, f.delight is now preparing to launch a dedicated B2C merchandise business alongside its existing B2B work. “In the B2B market, where customers require a highly refined finish, we will handle the application process with a dedicated team, helping strengthen sales in our existing business,” explains Akiko Fushiki. “For the B2C market, we plan to supply printed UV-DTF transfer sheets so consumers can freely apply designs to the items they love. We hope this will allow more individual consumers to experience the quality of UV-DTF and lead to new customers.”
A machine that keeps opening doors
With the UJV300DTF-75 now a solidified part of its workflow, f.delight continues to view the technology as a strong draw for new and existing customers alike.
“I see the UJV300DTF-75 as a machine that offers excellent value,” comments Eijiro Fushiki. “It allows us to present clear advantages to customers, while keeping the initial investment relatively low and requiring only a small installation space. We have been receiving a growing number of enquiries, including pictogram signage for hospitals and accent decorations for household items. Every day, I can really feel that the UJV300DTF-75 is helping us discover new business opportunities.”
