The Spanish company chooses Mimaki’s combined printing and cutting solution to diversify its services and expand creative and business possibilities.
Mimaki Europe, a leading manufacturer of industrial inkjet printers and cutting systems, today announces that Diseños Metálicos Ferrum, based in Andalusia, Spain, has installed a Mimaki JFX200-2513 EX UV flatbed printer and a CFX-2513 cutting table. The investment, supplied and supported by Digidelta Andalucía, Mimaki’s exclusive distributor in Iberia, marks the first combined installation of these two systems in the region. This milestone enables Diseños Metálicos Ferrum to expand its services, offering fully customised, high-quality solutions on rigid materials.
Founded from the vision of a passionate entrepreneur with extensive experience in the metalworking sector, Diseños Metálicos Ferrum has always been driven by a commitment to combine craftsmanship and design excellence. Today, the company’s activities go far beyond metal and forging, extending into the real estate and hospitality sectors with distinctive projects that blend functionality and aesthetics.
“Our clients were increasingly asking for more creative pieces, different formats and personalisation on rigid materials,” explains Diego Ayala, Head of the Printing Department at Diseños Metálicos Ferrum. “We wanted to offer that unlimited freedom while maintaining the quality that defines us. With the Mimaki JFX200-2513 EX and CFX-2513, we can now print with impressive precision and finish each project with the exact shape and detail required.”
The Mimaki JFX200-2513 EX, a UV-LED flatbed printer, enables direct printing onto a wide variety of rigid substrates, delivering exceptional image quality, high productivity and versatile ink configurations – ideal for applications such as signage, decoration, and industrial design. Paired with the CFX-2513 cutting table, this first-in-Iberia combination allows Diseños Metálicos Ferrum to manage the complete production process in-house, from printing to cutting, ensuring maximum creative flexibility and efficiency.
“Evaluating alternatives is part of the process, but what really made the difference was trust,” Diego Ayala continues. “The reliability and stability of Mimaki technology, together with the local support of Digidelta Andalucía, gave us confidence that we were not just acquiring machines, but building a long-term relationship.”
According to Digidelta Andalucía, the project also highlights the strength of Mimaki’s partner network in Spain and Portugal. Eleutério Silva, Digidelta Andalucía’s representative, notes: “Our role was to understand the customer’s needs and ensure that the chosen solution would deliver the best performance for their business. Mimaki’s technology perfectly matches Ferrum’s vision – creative freedom supported by production reliability.”
With this installation, Diseños Metálicos Ferrum is ready to expand its creative boundaries and explore new business opportunities. “More than investing in machines, we are investing in possibilities,” concludes Diego Ayala. “Mimaki and Digidelta give us the confidence to create without limits.”
