The below information is only applicable to cartridges with packaging that include a QR code label linking to this web page and/or when your Mimaki partner instructs you to follow this procedure.

Dear Mimaki user,

Thank you for using our product.
We found that some ink cartridges that have assembly failure are shipped to the market. We would like to request you to temporarily follow the below procedure when using these cartridges.

How to place a cartridge with a QR code label on its package
1) Take the cartridge out of its packaging
2) Hold the cartridge vertically, with the opening facing down, for 5 seconds
3) Place the cartridge in its designated slot*
*DO NOT turn the cartridge with the opening facing up before placing it (see below video for example)

When to replace a cartridge with a QR code label on its package
To avoid issues with the use of these cartridges, please make sure not to use the cartridge when ink level is below 50%.

Regularly check the ink level of the cartridge:
a. More than 50%? -> Keep printing
b. Less than 50%? -> Replace cartridge
Please find instructions on how to identify the amount of remaining ink on your printer at the bottom of this page.

Note1: When using Orange ink, the machine periodically asks you to shake the cartridge. When using an orange cartridge with QR code, please do not shake the cartridge and just press the “ENTER” key.

Note2: In case of any questions/remarks, please contact your local Mimaki partner.
