CONSISTENCY

Mimaki software is built to work for you

consistency

Software that keeps you in control.

“Our biggest challenge wasn’t speed — it was consistency.”

Printing companies produce a wide range of print jobs for different customers – often reprints or repeat campaigns. While the printers are reliable, achieving the same colours every time across different jobs and operators was a constant challenge.

  • Small differences in setup could lead to visible colour variation
  • Reprints didn’t always match earlier jobs
  • Corrections cost time, material and confidence

That all changed, simply by standardising workflows using Mimaki’s software.

Working with Mimaki software.

Jobs are now prepared using consistent colour settings and ICC profiles, ensuring predictable colour reproduction from the start. Once a job is approved, it can be repeated today, tomorrow or weeks later with the same result.

During production, you get a clear insight into printer and ink status, allowing businesses to maintain quality instead of reacting to problems afterwards.

  • The result is a calmer, more predictable workflow
  • Reprints match original jobs
  • Waste is reduced

Most importantly, you stay in control of both quality and production.

Software that keeps production predictable.

Every successful print job starts with predictable preparation. Mimaki’s software portfolio is designed to support professional print production at every stage, from colour-accurate job preparation to monitoring during printing. Each solution has a clear role, but together they form one integrated ecosystem focused on: control, consistency and reliability.

consistency

Reliable job preparation with RasterLink7.

Every successful print job starts with predictable preparation.

RasterLink7, Mimaki’s RIP software, provides a stable foundation for colour-accurate production. By supporting precise ICC profiling, consistent media settings and repeatable print conditions, RasterLink7 ensures that colours remain stable across jobs, operators and time.

This consistency is essential for professional environments where repeatability matters just as much as output quality.

Once a job is set up correctly or put in the right hot-folder, it can be reproduced with confidence without unnecessary trial and error.

Finishing and workflow integration with FineCut/Coat9.

Beyond printing itself, Mimaki software also supports follow-up workflow.

Mimaki’s plug-in for Adobe(R) Illustrator(R) and CorelDRAW(R), FineCut/Coat9, allows print and cut data to be prepared within familiar design environments. By keeping design, contour paths and print settings connected in a single workflow, FineCut/Coat9 reduces manual steps and ensures accurate alignment between print and cut.

Support for ID Cut workflows, where printed graphics are automatically recognised by the cutting device, further improves repeatability and simplifies setup, making finishing a predictable and integrated part of production.

Insight during production with PICT.

Once production starts, visibility becomes critical.

PICT (Printer Information Cloud Technology) provides real-time insight into printer status, ink levels and system conditions. This allows operators and production managers to monitor quality-critical parameters during printing, rather than discovering issues after a job is completed.

Production decisions are based on information, not assumptions. Printers become connected production assets, fully integrated into the workflow.

Monitoring and notification when it matters.

Mimaki’s monitoring tools ensure that attention is requested only when necessary. Clear status updates and automated notifications help prevent small deviations from turning into quality issues or production delays. Operators can focus on maintaining output quality, while software highlights exceptions, not routine operation.

This approach supports stable production without adding unnecessary complexity.

One ecosystem, one philosophy.

All Mimaki software solutions share the same design principles:

  • Built for real production environments
  • Easy to use, without unnecessary complexity
  • Focused on consistency and reliability

Rather than adding layers of software, Mimaki software simplifies production by providing clarity and control at the right moments.

Software as a production partner.

Mimaki’s software is not an optional add-on. It is an integral part of how Mimaki printers deliver predictable, high-quality results. By combining hardware with intelligent software, Mimaki enables print professionals to:

  • Maintain colour consistency across jobs and reprints
  • Reduce waste and correction time
  • Improve workflow stability
  • Stay in control from file preparation to finished print

Because in professional printing, consistency is not a coincidence.
It is designed in both hardware and software.
