Subject: Candidate inks for discontinuation
Dear Customer,
Thank you for using Mimaki products. We would like to inform you that the following inks have been selected as candidate products for discontinuation of sales:
- LH-100
- LF-140
More information on the background, affected and alternative items and other details can be found below.
Background
Forementioned inks contain a substance that has been added to the SVHC List (Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern) which is part of the REACH Regulation. Substances added to this list will typically be added to the Authorization List after approximately 5 years and subsequently being de facto banned meaning any goods containing the substance can no longer be manufactured, used or sold in the European Union.
While the target countries of this regulation are only EU member states, this will not only apply to the use of these inks but also the import and sales of printed goods containing these inks. Furthermore, once effectuated these inks can no longer be stored in or moved through our European warehouses and facilities.
To ensure an uninterrupted supply of ink to all our users and to avoid complications in export procedures for goods printed with our ink we will proactively support the replacement of these inks to newly developed inks free from SVHC listed substances.

Ink Test
The new ELH-100 inks have been formulated to match the characteristics of LH-100 inks as close as possible. However, if you have previously conducted specific testing according to your internal standards we recommend to conduct testing with ELH-100 inks before replacement. To facilitate such tests we kindly request you to contact your reseller.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we align with the new regulations, and encourage you to reach out to your reseller should you need any assistance during the ink replacement process.
Yours sincerely,
Mimaki Europe B.V.
