Amsterdam, November 12, 2007
Mimaki Engineering, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutting machines for the sign/graphics, textile/apparel and industrial markets, is proud to announce the first European installation of its new JV5- 320 solvent inkjet printer by Benelux dealer, GCS.

The JV5-320 prints vivid accurate images up to a width of 3.2 metres at speeds of up to 42 sqm/h in high quality and 60 sqm/h in high speed mode. This printer features the same productivity enhancing features as the other large format models JV5-130 and JV5-160, such as the unique UISS (Uninterrupted Ink Supply System) and a staggered head array of four print heads. Nozzle failure detection which monitors the ink-discharging state from the printing head and detects and cleans clogged nozzles, thus reducing waste, is incorporated as a standard feature.

“We use mainly Mimaki equipment to produce signs and I can say to our fullest satisfaction“, says Ann Richaumont from Printy Power. “Our experience is that Mimaki manufactures reliable and high quality machines. At this moment we produce signs with a JV3-160, a JV5-160 and in the past we had a JV4 as well. Because of an aging Nur machine and the need for bigger prints we were ready to invest again in a super wide machine. It was the Mimaki JV5-320 that offered us the ideal combination: flexibility, quality, productivity and it was within our price range. The machine enables us to be flexible, print high quality large prints for up-close viewing and high speed prints for large billboards for viewing at a distance. Together with the attractive pricing and our experience with the JV5-160 I can already say that it is a best buy for us.”

Printy Power handles a wide range of sign making jobs and employs four people. A lot of signage jobs are produced for famous brands, such as McDonalds, Sony Playstation, Microsoft, Nespresso and more. The company’s customers are advertising agencies, such as McCann Erikson, TBWA and JMT Lettrage. Printy Power uses the Mimaki JV3-160, JV5-160 and now the JV5-320 for a wide range of applications, such as rotating backlit advertisement of 10 and 20 m2, large posters (Nespresso), outdoor store banners (InterMarche?), POS displays (Sony Playstation), window signage (MacDonalds), vehicle wrapping (truck, car, trams) and more.
