Fast, accurate vinyl cutting plotters at an affordable priceAmsterdam, The Netherlands, February 14, 2007
In October 2006 Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (the head office in Nagano, Japan; President Akira Ikeda) introduced the desktop type cutting plotter CG-60SR, which is the successor of the successful CG-60ST and also designed to meet the needs of professionals, corporate offices and stores who are looking for a well affordable on-demand cutting plotter for small-lot productions. Now Mimaki expands her line-up of desktop cutting plotters with the economical CG-60SL.
Two models to choose from
When choosing one of the models two main differences are important to consider. The CG-60SR is equipped with a Crop Mark Sensor and is also slightly faster. Obviously, these differences have lead to a lower recommended retail price for the CG-60SL.
Powerful features
For both models cutting is made simple due to various functions.
- By having selectable clamp pressure with high and low settings, slipping of long sheets is prevented while high pressure and with low pressure damages to media by guide rollers are averted.
- Selectable three jog speeds ensure proper and easy positioning of the head to the point.
- Useful functions are pre-installed such as divisional cutting, half-cut, distance compensation, registration of tool conditions, sorting, etc.
- Convenient container for small articles, roll sheet receiver, adapter for pens available in the market place are included.
Crop Mark Sensor on the CG-60SR
By detecting continuous crop marks on the printed matter, complex contour cuts of shapes will continuously be made, making individual adjustments automatically. By detecting a maximum of 4 points, cutting is made with high accuracy while minimizing distortion at the time of printing and laminating. Also, a light pointer makes the position adjustment of crop marks easily.
FineCut7
The included FineCut 7 Mimaki plug-in software, applicable for CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator CS2/CS, draws out the high level of cutting accuracy that Mimaki cutting plotters stand for. The software is capable to respond to high-level cutting needs, such as creating cut data from image data, division cutting of long media and setting of overlap space with tiling function.
