Different technology for different applications

When choosing one of the two CG-60 series models, it is important to consider one feature. The CG-60SR is equipped with a registration mark sensor, which allows for accurate contour cutting of printed image, such as stikers. The CG-60SL can be used to cut shapes, logos, letters, and numbers, also for transfering images to clothing.

Contour cutting

With the Mimaki Contour Cut method, it is possible to cut the sticker (or other top layer) and not the backing sheet. For accurate contour cutting of printed images, such as stickers, the registration mark detection recognises marks that are printed on the media. By recognising these marks, the distance to the image can be accurately calculated.

Die cutting

Mimaki's cutting plotters can also cut completely through the media, leaving little connection points so the image does not fall on the floor. These connection points can be easily detached. This Mimaki patented technique is called Half-Cut.
